Magnetic recess formers are designed to assist in the installation of capstan anchors in metal mold walls where lifting anchors are difficult to access during casting. These formers are placed on the mold wall at specified positions before pouring the concrete. Once the concrete hardens, the mold is removed, and the magnetic recess formers remain securely attached to the mold wall, ensuring the anchors stay in place. These anchors are crucial for lifting and moving precast parts using specialized lifting devices.

Types of Pro Version Magnetic Recess Former for Foot Anchor
We offer two types of regular magnetic recess formers: Steel Surface Magnetic Former and Rubber-Coated Magnetic Former. Building upon these, we developed the Pro Version, which optimizes the structure of the foot anchors. By adding a steel plate beneath the bottom magnet, we increase the holding force by 50% to 300% without significantly raising the cost. This means customers get stronger foot anchors at nearly the same price as the regular versions.
The magnetic formers come with corrosion resistance through zinc plating or rubber coating and are available in different load capacities: 1.3T, 2.5T, 5T, and 10T.
1). NdFeb Recess Former Pro for Foot Anchor
The NdFeB Recess Former Pro is available in the following diameters and holding forces:
- D118mm (360KG holding force) for a 10.0T anchor
- D60mm (150KG holding force) for a 1.3T anchor
- D74mm (190KG holding force) for a 2.5T anchor
- D94mm (230KG holding force) for a 5.0T anchor

Typically, the steel magnetic recess former is used with a T-anchor (also known as a double-head pin anchor) and a rubber ring. During use, the T-anchor with the rubber ring is inserted into the hole of the magnetic former, and the magnet’s attraction holds the assembly firmly on the metal mold wall during pouring.

2). Rubberized Magnetic Recess Former
The Rubberized magnetic recess former comes in these diameters and holding forces:
- D66mm (100KG holding force) for a 1.3T anchor
- D84mm (190KG holding force) for a 2.5T anchor
- D104mm (300KG holding force) for a 5.0T anchor
- D125mm (400KG holding force) for a 10.0T anchor

In contrast to the steel magnetic former, the rubberized version benefits from the elasticity of rubber. This design allows end users to use the T-anchor directly with the former without needing a rubber ring. The rubber’s flexible nature securely holds the steel anchor in place, preventing any movement during the casting process.

Benefits of Pro Version Magnetic Recess Former for Foot Anchor
Magnetic recess formers are revolutionizing the fastening process by eliminating the need for traditional methods such as fasteners and time-consuming drilling. Drilling holes not only reduces the durability of metal molds and formers but also adds complexity to the installation. The magnetic recess former, however, provides a strong holding force thanks to its optimized magnetic circuit design, drastically reducing installation time and enhancing the overall efficiency of the process.
The key benefits include:
- Customizable Dimensions: We offer customizable dimensions to suit specific anchor requirements, making the magnetic recess former a versatile and tailored solution.
- Faster Installation and Demoulding: Magnetic formers reduce the time spent on setup and removal.
- No Drilling or Welding Required: The magnetic design eliminates the need for drilling, preserving the integrity of the metal mold wall.
- Long-Lasting Strength: Even after repeated use, the magnetic force remains strong and does not degrade.
- Corrosion Resistance: The steel plate under the magnet protects the NdFeB magnet from corrosion.
