Rubber-coated magnets consist of neodymium magnets or circular magnetic discs, all protected by a rubberized layer. We primarily use TPV (Thermoplastic Vulcanizates) rubber coating to ensure durability and performance.

1. Manufacturing Rubber-Coated Magnets
The rubber coating is applied using injection molding machines. A specific mold size is required to uniformly cover the magnet’s surface with rubber. Typically, the coating is black, but we can produce rubber-coated magnets in different colors upon customer request, provided the minimum order quantity is met.
The thickness of the rubber coating generally ranges from 0.5 to 1 mm, which is considerably thicker than other types of coatings. As a result, the actual size of the magnet inside the rubber coating is approximately 2 mm smaller than the finished product.
2. Applications of Rubber-Coated Magnets
Due to the robust protection offered by the rubber coating, rubber-coated neodymium magnets are far more resilient than regular magnets. They are particularly suited for environments where magnets are exposed to wet conditions, rust, seawater (marine applications), rough surfaces, or other outdoor settings. This protective coating greatly expands the range of applications for these magnets.
